Celebration of FRIENDS is held to recognize, honor and thank the individual men and women who generously give their time, skills, and energy volunteering for FRIENDS.  It is also a time to recognize the local businesses that provide support either financially or through in-kind services.

With nominations that are provided throughout the year, FRIENDS Nomination Committee selects a volunteer(s) to receive the J. Martin Sills Volunteer of the Year Award.  These selected individuals represents the founding volunteer spirit and the continuing concern of volunteers.

In addition to the J. Martin Sills Volunteer of the Year Award, the Red Ribbon Awards are presented to individuals and corporate sponsors, who through their commitment and involvement have made a difference in the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS.

Dollars raised at this event helps provide support services to clients by providing emergency rent and utility assistance, assisting with transportation costs to medical and mental health appointments, as well as personal items and medical bills.
